Mediacampus Hamburg

Among the areas of competence of the professors at the Media Campus Hamburg are journalism, computer science, data visualization, research and information gathering, social media, app development, media technology, visual communications, multimedia and audiovisual design, sound engineering and sound design, photography, media computer science and Website Programming, SEO, media management, media law, media ethics, media research and media literacy.

A campus TV and radio stations with public broadcasting license and cameras, recording equipment, editing suites offer participants of IMC programs a first-class technical infrastructure.

Own technical laboratories are available for students and fellows. There are also workshops for printing (hot type, exposure, ReproNyloprint, etching, lithography, screen printing, manufacturing technology), an AV lab, an Apple Lab, project labs, a usability lab, a laboratory for media production, a laboratory for sound engineering, a laboratory for Audio Vision, a computer laboratory, a photo laboratory, a laboratory for video technology as well as an animated film lab.

A virtual studio allows the IMC audiovisual productions on newest state of the art: The virtual studio is a further development of the Blue Box technology, to grow together in the professional studio technology and computer graphics and camera movements (pan up to 360 degrees) are possible. The Elbe Studios at HAW Hamburg also offer the development of e-learning as a modern multimedia studios for the production of online presentations, e-lectures and digital learning materials on the media campus.
